1. What is The Ark of Little Cottonwood?
The Ark of Little Cottonwood is and intensive residential, dual diagnosis, treatment facility for people with disabilities, which include chemical addictions and associated mental health issues.

2. How can I know for sure if I or someone I know needs treatment?
You may call for an appointment for a screening. Using the American Society of Addictive Medicine (ASAM) criteria, we can determine if treatment is needed and at what levels.

3. What is Aftercare?
Aftercare includes a weekly process group held on Tuesday nights at 6:00 PM. and individual counseling as needed w/ a counselor. Aftercare is offered to clients who complete our Residential Programs.

4. How much does the program cost and what methods of payment are available?
The Ark accepts private pay, some health insurance, church contracts and PatientFinance.com. We do not have County funding nor can we bill Medicaid or Medicare. Contact Jeremy in Admissions for more information or to set a time for a screening.

5. What is the disease of addiction?
The disease of addiction is the genetically linked inability to remain clean and sober in spite of the loss of family, relationships, and employment. This disease usually results in difficulties in the legal system.

6. What good does it do to treat both mental health issues and addiction at the same time?
They are inter-linked. The average addict will medicate themselves because of their depression or pain they experience from their mental and/or physical health problems.
